£1500+£100 GCBPT Grand Final Main Event (day 2)

 

73 players returned for day 2, and with the final day in sight, few sat on their chips. The short-stacks knew it was do-or-die, and so with the blinds starting to hurt, players fell in numbers in each level – including Joe Beevers who was gone by the second level of the day. There was little tightening around the bubble, and with a £2000 saver for 19^th, the action continued apace as we found our final nine at the start of level 17.

The final table had a good helping of well known names from the tour, including Dave Colclough, Rob Akery, Richard Haile, Dave Maudlin and Michael Punn, but with a quarter of the chips in play, Alan Vinson takes a big lead to the TV table.
