Lofthouse picks up a nice pot

Simon Mairs checked a flop of 8 6 6 and Mel Lofthouse bet 2500 into a pot of around 4000. Mairs raised to 6000 and Lofthouse called. The turn was 4 and Mairs squeezed his hand, presumably to look for a heart. He didn’t like what he saw and checked. Lofthouse took the opportunity to bet 8000, which looked like about half Mairs’ remaining chips. Mairs folded and Lofthouse scooped a healthy pot.
