KK folded pre-flop?

With blinds at 400/800 Shahid Aslami moves all in pre-flop for 26900 from the cut off. Mohammed Imran thinks for a long time before eventually folding. Andrew Booth calls from the small blind with his 13400 and the BB folds.

Both Aslami and Booth show AQ and when the flop brings an ace Imran seems pleased. He claims he passed pocket kings pre-flop and picks up the mucked cards after the hand is over. It takes a little sifting through the cards but there are indeed two red kings near to where Imran threw his cards.

It appears to be a remarkable fold and Imran gets props from the other players at the table for a good fold whilst the pot is being split between Aslami and Booth.
