Five of the biggest names in World Poker have already signed up to compete at the Great British Poker Tour Grand Final, in association with Gala Casinos, taking place at the Gala Casino Harbourside, Bristol, from November 5 – 11.

Phil Laak, Antonio Esfandiari, Jennifer Tilly, Robert Williamson III and Jamie Gold are all vying to take the title of Great British Poker Champion back to the US, which sets up an international claim to the title as the GBPT 2007 climaxes in spectacular style.

Infamous duo - the ‘Unabomber’ and the ‘Magician’ - will be full of mischief looking to add to their WSOP / WPT successes as well as combined $4m tournament winnings. Both arrive accompanied by Hollywood Actress and WSOP bracelet holder Jennifer ‘Unabombshell’ Tilly. US Poker Nations Cup captain Robert Williamson III has amassed a fortune of nearly $2m during his poker career, while 2006 WSOP champion Jamie Gold maintains the accolade of recording an unprecedented $12m for his WSOP title.

GBPT Tournament Director Thomas Kremser said, “so far in the GBPT we’ve seen some really high standard of poker from local amateurs holding their own against the UK and European pro-players, so it’ll be a fascinating contest to see what drama will unfold with these star names of World Poker in the frame. For any aspiring poker players, it simply doesn’t get any better than this!’

The Great British Poker Tour Grand Final Main Event will have an estimated prize pool of £500,000 with side events raising the bar to a mammoth £650,000 across the week. As well as winning a seat at the Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic in December, the winner will pick up the coveted title of “Great British Poker Champion, 2007.”

Qualification is available through galapoker.co.uk including exclusive weekly freerolls guaranteeing £3000 VIP packages throughout October, or through live satellites across selected Gala Casinos nationwide. Players can also buy-in directly into the £2500+£50 Main Event, plus £300+£30 and £1000+£50 tournaments.
