Heads up! The penultimate 2007 GBPT Festival finally hits Leeds, with a strong local contingent warming up the cardroom nicely in the opening £50 rebuy tourney ahead of the upcoming freeze-out events.
Play started with 50 runners and worked its way down to the evening’s final table by 2am. Our final two then decided to call it game and match without going heads-up, so John Newsome took top spot with the superior chip lead. The final standings were as follows:
