Nottingham GCBPT saw plenty of punch on the poker tables worthy of a Joe Calzaghe title challenge! Congratulations to the new main event champion - Rupinder ‘George’ Bedi from Leicester banking a cool £27,000 as well as a package to the 2008 Grand Final.
‘George’ displayed real tenacity taking down some big pots on day 2 to eventually put him into a winning position on the final table.
Heads-up saw a true clash of the sun-shades with runner-up James Keys going in with A7 (in aviator specials) and ‘George’ A9 (in ultra-reflective Oakleys) managing to pair on the turn to take him across the line.
